I'm an OutBound Exchange Student for 2011-2012

It's official, I'm accepted :) I've passed the two interviews and have been told that I will be a Outbound Student for 2011-2012. Today I got an e-mail saying I passed my district interview and that I'm:
This made me so happy, I was stressing about it today during math class whether I was accepted or not. My interview was on Saturday (Nov.27th,2010). It went well,I think, but was very nerve racking. I believe I could of done better, but I'm just glad the interviewing process is over with. That's a lot of stress for one person, lol. Today even though I was fretting over whether I got accepted or not, I felt a bit laid back (less stressed) with knowing the interviewing part was done with (even though at the time I didn't know if I was accepted or not).
What happen is on Friday the 26th: Mom,Hana and I drove down to the city where the interview would be held and stayed overnight in a hotel. My mom's relatives live in that city as well so we spent the Friday night visiting them. We ate at Boston Pizza, got lost looking for the hockey rink where my cousin is playing and went to my aunt/uncle's home and played with my cousins. It was a very joyous Friday night. We ate nachos, had coke and played computer games at their house.
The next morning I woke up at 9A.M. Went down for the hotel's breakfast (had Chocolate muffin, orange juice and fruit loops---very healthy indeed, lol) and then afterwords took a shower and got ready/dressed for the interview. I wore dress pants and a comfortable long-sleeved shirt that wasn't to formal but not to causal either. At 12PM we dropped Hana (host-sister) off in the down town area and then Mom and I went to the place the district interview was being held at 12:20PM.
The place where it was held was a office building that was small but cute looking. I was nervous as hell. It also started to dawn on me when I went in that if I didn't pass this interview that I wouldn't be going anywhere next year.
I went inside and was greeted by one out of the three interviewers. She shook mine and my mothers hand and introduce herself and we did the same as well.
When she and the other 2 interviewers were ready, I went (by myself) inside a room. Inside was a long table with comfy chairs (definitely a business meeting area). There were 2 women interviewers and 1 male. The interview was a bit harder this time and I had trouble answering some of the questions, I also kept repeating myself. Though some of the questions they asked in the first interview (such as current invents, what leadership means, what rotary is ect) were repeated in the second interview and the ones that I didn't know last time (ex; current events) I knew this time.
The interview went for a hour. A half hour was just the interviewers and myself then the second half was both mom and I with the interviewers. They ask what place I had chosen and focus on Japan and Belgium. Asking why I pick Japan and Belgium as first and second place. They also asked me to speak some Japanese, which I did.
Most of the interview was nerve racking, but I also started to warm up and was able to joke around. After it was over I felt I hadn't done my best and was worried I wouldn't get accepted. I found out that though I had originally thought only 5 people had applied for the whole thing that wasn't true. 5 people in my area had applied, true, and the district interview was for my area but the district I'm in is not only for my province but for three others. Meaning the total applied outbounds is 20 or more. When I heard this at the interview I freaked inside. Afterwords I was scared that with this numerous amount of people and my not so well done interview that I would surely not pass, but I did.
When the interview was done we picked up Hana, had some lunch and drove back to the city. That night we watched Pride & Prejudice, I loved it. On Sunday we watched the Canadian Football Grey cup game on T.V at Boston Pizza. My province team was playing and everyone was excited, especially since this year Grey Cup game was against the same team that beat us last year. We watched but sadly we were defeated. Mom, Hana and I went home afterwords and I read my novel for English Class and Mom, Hana set up the Christmas tree. Hana leaves in a few weeks, depressing, so we're celebrating Christmas early (the 11th).
On Monday I went to school. I dropped History A30. I drop next Semester Biology 30. I found out that the nice cooking teacher is very ill and has a worm inside of her so we have a substitute for the rest of the semester. I HOPE YOUR OK, TEACHER :) I found out that I'm 100 pages ahead of everyone in English Class. In Math Class I can't understand word problems. I realize that since I don't have History anymore I'm done school at 2PM, but the bus that takes me home takes a hour so I don't arrive home til 3:20PM (better the 4:30PM). When I got on the bus it almost got into a accident, but didn't. Mom kept phoning/texting me on the bus but I didn't understand since I was on the bus. When I got home she had texted/phoned about a jillion times so I phoned her back. She told me to check my e-mails, I did and found out that I was accepted as a Outbound Exchange Student. I was so thrilled that I jumped up and down for at least a hour. Though I still don't know where I'm going.
My club had originally said I find out before Christmas but I heard this isn't true anymore and that I probably won't find out til March or April. I understand this but pray that I'll find out sooner. I'm glad that out of the billion main questions I had there is only one remaining---Where will I be off to in 2011-2012??. My Orientation will be at the end of April (April 29th-May 1st). I'm excited to meet the other exchange students. I met one girl who applied from my area (her interview was after mine), she seemed nice. She also seemed familiar. I wonder if I'll see her at the Orientation?? So excited XOXOXOX
Until Next Time
