I've Been Accepted :) :) :)

Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go. ~T.S. Eliot
It's official I've been accepted as a Rotary Youth Exchange Student :) I found out today October 16th,2010. How I found this information out is I went to a Rotary Fundraiser where I and my family volunteered. My mother was speaking to the club president and the president brought up my exchange. My mother ask when I would find out if I'm going and the club president then she is for sure going on a exchange. So she told my mother I've already been accepted and that my coordinator will tell me soon. :) When my mother told me this I was very ecstatic, who wouldn't be?? I'm officially apart of Rotary Youth Exchange all I need to do now is the next interview and find out where I'm going (and of of course there is the orientation).
The fundraiser was a dinner event and my job as a volunteer was to watch the raffle tickets. It was busy before the dinner was serve but die down when it was serve. Luckily I was able to eat the dinner which was the most fabulous lasagna I have ever tasted along with Caesar salad and a bun :) For dessert there was cake. It was the best meal ever and I was so full. Luckily I was able to chat with a exchange student from Brazil, who is really cool. The exchange student from Japan was there but I didn't really talk with him. After supper my mother won a t-shirt and I help out with the dishes. I really love the dishes part of the evening---I forgot how much I love dishing washing at my old job. I mean I do dish washing--by hand--every day at school for cooking but it's not the same as it is at restaurants. So I had a fun :)
After the evening was over I went to chapters with my mom and she told me about my acceptance. I was so tired but so happy :) I had a hot chocolate and chocolate covered pretzel to celebrate XD
I probably will have no more updates until December when my next interview is, but if I do I'll post it.
