First Interview - September 26th,2010
"I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult."-E.B. White
So I had my first interview, it was held in the evening at around 7PM at one of the interviewer's home. There was two interviewers, both former Rotary exchange students. One of the interviewers went to Australia on her exchange. It went better then I thought. It was actually quite nice and I had fun, I loved talking to both of them. The interview was a hour and a half, and what happened is the interview was split up. So both interviewers interviewed me first *alone* and then afterwords interviewed my parents *without me there*. They had about 2 pages of questions and I was nervous, some of them I couldn't answer because I either didn't know or went blank with nervousness. They were very understanding of how I felt since they had gone through this process before. A lot of the questions I knew they were going to ask me from seeing people on Culture Shocked post questions they had been interviewed with. Some of them I didn't expect, one being Canadian Politics & current news. I drew blank when ask about current Canadian news and when asked about other world news all I could think of is the new Titantic Discovery so I said that. When ask about Canadian Government I remember a few things (like provincial government, Stephen Harper and so on). Overall I was happy with how the interview went and now am on edge about the second interview, when do I find out if I'm accepted or not, and what country will I be going to?
